Trauma Care

Swedish has the south Denver area's only Level I Trauma Center, where our dedicated physicians, nursing and allied health staff ensure that seriously injured patients have the best possible chance of survival and least residual disability. We serve as the regional referral center for Neurotrauma, and partner with the Colorado Neurological Institute (CNI), the largest, most comprehensive neuroscience center in the Rocky Mountain region. A leader in the field of neurosciences and the treatment of stroke, Swedish combines leading-edge technologies with extensive experience in treating nearly all forms of neurological disease. As part of the team in any of our units, you will experience clinical challenges you just won't find anywhere else in the region.

Cancer Care

Swedish offers the latest treatments, from Mammosite for breast cancer to Gamma Knife surgery for brain tumors, along with support programs for all types of cancer, including brain, gynecological, lung, liver, breast, head and neck. We also have genetic counseling and nurse counselors to guide patients through the medical and emotional process. You will work with the very best, and have the opportunity to immerse yourself in any of a number of specialties, from Gynecological Oncology and Surgical Oncology, to Gastroenterology Hepatology.

Emergency Services

Our Emergency facilities contain the most advanced technologies available in an emergency setting, and provide more than 75,000 patients annually access to every medical and surgical specialty. We also provide a specialty unit devoted to pediatric Emergency, and our freestanding unit next to Clement Park offers more convenience to south Denver residents. And with our network partner, HealthONE, Swedish professionals have access to the most comprehensive Emergency Medical Services education center in Colorado, providing more than two-dozen types of education programs and a wide variety of EMS-related services. You can take your skills and knowledge so much further here!

Orthopedics and Spine Care

At Swedish, talented surgeons are leading the way in traumatic spine and spinal cord injuries, joint replacement, neck and back injuries, and surgeries to resolve hand and shoulder injuries. Here, nursing professionals can experience the level of clinical challenge and the type of leading-edge technology that can really take their career forward. Our nurses work with multidisciplinary teams that specialize in pre- and post-operative care, often requiring complex pain management, and supporting patients with limited movement.

Stroke Care

Swedish was the first nationally certified Stroke Center in Colorado and continues to constantly be on the leading edge of new treatments, prevention and research related to stroke and neurological disease. In 2006, Swedish and the Colorado Neurological Institute implemented CO-DOC, the first stroke telemedicine system in the state.

Women's and Children's Services
